Following the very successful inaugural conference of the Irish Sea Maritime Forum in Belfast in June 2012, this is the second ISMF annual conference and is open to all with an interest in the Irish Sea. It will provide stakeholders with the latest news on marine planning from administrations around the Irish Sea including the forthcoming National Marine Plan for Scotland. It will also highlight a range of EU supported developments that are significant for Irish Sea stakeholders, not least the EU’s Atlantic Strategy and draft Marine Spatial Planning and Integrated Coastal Management Directive, plus INTERREG funding opportunities post 2014. The day will conclude with an overview of ISMF activities in its first year of operation, the launch of the stakeholder informed Irish Sea Issues and Opportunities report, and an opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of the ISMF’s 2013/14 programme. The conference is free to attend.
